除上述慰問金、殮葬金、生活津貼，以及早前發放的一萬元應急補助金，政府會再發放四項特別補助。其一，所有火災傷者可獲發受傷補助，以入院當日起計，留院七天或以上者獲發十萬元，留院六天或以下者獲發五萬元。受傷補助會經社會福利署的「一戶一社工」機制安排發放。
因應大埔宏福苑更多受火災影響的居民已入住政府為居民提供的應急住宿，大埔民政事務處今日進一步調整臨時庇護中心運作安排，位於東昌街社區會堂的臨時庇護中心現已停止接收新的使用人士，但會繼續運作直至現有使用者遷往經安排的應急住宿。
